GLOBAL COOL TO WEBCAST SCISSOR SISTERS HALLOWEEN SHOW!
Tickets for the Scissor Sisters Halloween gig (released on Friday
13th October 2006) sold out immediately as hungry fans snapped them
up in an incredible 90 minutes, desperate to party with the band at
the Brixton Academy on 31st October 2006. But for those who missed
out, they needn’t be disappointed because thanks to Global Cool, the
gig will be broadcast live on www.global-cool.com. Tiscali are also
helping out as the official sponsors of the webcast.
To take part in all the action, fans simply need to log on to
www.global-cool.com and make a pledge to reduce their carbon
emissions. Not only will they be able to see highlights of the
performance but all Scissor Sisters fans will be treated to exclusive
backstage footage of the band getting ready before the party.
In true Scissor Sisters style, the band will be dressing up in full
Halloween costume with witches’ hats and broomsticks galore, are
insisting fans attending the gig, do the same. The broadcast can be
watched live on the night, and for those wanting to see it again or
relive actually being there, can re-watch the webcast for 72 hours
after the event.

all our fans. It’s set to be an amazing night and by showing the gig

party, but also raises awareness of their cause by highlighting the
importance of saving our planet.”
The gig will be the first of many inspirational Global Cool events
aimed at empowering the individual to make a difference. A
charitable foundation, which launches globally in later November,
Global Cool aims to defeat the problem of global warming by getting
individuals to adopt the simple principles of EROs - Efficiencies and
Reductions of CO2, plus Offsetting any unavoidable emissions.
